Historians who research, write, and teach about the American past can be invaluable to journalists seeking perspectives on current events and attitudes. To demonstrate the importance of historians in the public sphere and to improve the quality and trustworthiness of information available to the media, the Organization of American Historians has assembled a cadre of specialists from its membership who are expert in various aspects of U.S. history and eager to speak with journalists.
